Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Surgical Technology courses on a per-semester basis. The role includes creating a conducive learning environment, providing effective instruction, and following common syllabi.
Responsibilities include delivering scheduled classes, developing course syllabi, tracking attendance and grades, and utilizing Canvas and PowerPoint for instruction. A regionally accredited bachelor’s degree and CNOR (or equivalent) are required.
Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as‑needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School. This position and the posting will stay open continuously in order to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as Adjunct Instructors. Applicants will not be notified unless there is an actual need to fill the position or if the candidate does not meet minimum requirements.
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction, faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 as applicable to the specific area of instruction. A qualified faculty member in Surgical Technology meets all three of the following criteria:
