Job Description
As part of our continuing education health care programs, you will join a team of healthcare professionals ready to inspire our motivated students to succeed in the CNA program, as well as enjoying a great working environment and flexible work hours. We are currently seeking part-time CNA instructors to teach about 10 hours per week.
WORK LOCATIONS: Hiring for Davenport (Urban campus) and/or Clinton area, and/or Jackson County/Maquoketa area. We have daytime and evening class hours available, Part-Time.

Required Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an active Iowa RN license to teach CNA classes and clinical
• Must have 2 years' experience as a registered nurse (preferably in long term care).
• Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Excellent communication skills along with a high level of initiative and practical judgement is highly preferred.

Physical Demands

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
• Requires the ability to sit or stand in a classroom during extended instructional periods.
• May require pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• May require standing for extended period of time to perform work responsibilities with regular walking.
