Job summary

Eastern Iowa Community College District seeks a Faculty member to teach Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and related health courses. This faculty will coordinate CNA clinical experiences, oversee testing, and ensure compliance with DIA and other regulatory bodies across Maquoketa Center, DeWitt Career Advancement Center, and Clinton Community College.

Qualifications include RN licensure (Iowa or compact), 2 years of full‑time clinical nursing, at least 1 year in long‑term care, CNA instructor status

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Iowa or a compact state, or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum two years total of full-time clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in long-term care nursing preferred.
• CNA instructor status or ability to obtain CNA instructor status.
• Experience working in education preferred.
• Must relate well to people and display a high degree of competency within the field.
• Must be capable of creating a classroom environment conducive to student learning.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational and record keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses and assesses learning outcomes in assigned discipline.
• Coordinate and oversee CNA clinical experiences, including student placement and site coordination with local long-term care facilities.
• Ensure compliance with DIA and other regulatory or accrediting requirements, including documentation and site visits.
• Maintain accurate program, course, testing, and student records in coordination with CNA Program Manager.
