Job summary

Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program. The role covers classroom, lab, and clinical instruction, supervising students in long-term care settings, and delivering the Iowa 75-hour CNA curriculum.

Qualified candidates will hold a current Iowa RN license or compact license, have 2+ years RN/LPN experience (long-term care preferred), and meet trainer/certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a current Iowa RN License or multi-state compact License.
• A minimum of two years of RN or LPN experience, with at least one year in long-term care.
• Experience teaching adults and/or nurse aides is preferred.
• Certification or enrollment in a "Train the Trainer" class required upon accepting the position.
• Background check and clinical compliance required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Instruct CNA curriculum in classroom and lab settings.
• Supervise CNA students in long-term care facilities.
• Uphold CNA program policies and college curriculum integrity.
• Maintain timely student records and class materials.
• Communicate with program coordinators and health program team.
