Job summary

Savannah Technical College seeks an EMT Instructor/Adjunct to deliver didactic and clinical EMT coursework at the Savannah and Hinesville campuses, with travel between locations when required.

The candidate must hold NREMT credentials and Georgia EMT/AEMT/Paramedic licenses, plus a Level II EMS Instructor License and a BLS Instructor certification. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills are essential for student advisement and online learning management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year teaching experience with at least 40 hours of EMT instruction per year.
• Must be currently certified as an EMT/AEMT/Paramedic (NREMT).
• Must be currently licensed as a Georgia EMT/AEMT/Paramedic.
• Must possess a Level II EMS Instructor License.
• Two years of EMT/AEMT/Paramedic and/or teaching experience in the last three years preferred.
• Must hold an American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach EMT theory and clinical courses at Savannah and Hinesville campuses.
• Supervise students during patient care.
• Balance didactic and clinical teaching with advisement and registration duties.
• Maintain grade books and records as required.
• Attend meetings and stay current with EMT field developments.
