Job summary

Savannah Technical College seeks an hourly adjunct Paramedicine Instructor to teach both didactic and clinical courses in the Paramedic program on the Savannah and Hinesville campuses. Travel between campuses and a flexible teaching schedule are required.

The instructor will supervise students during patient care, advise students, and assist with registration and grading while maintaining current Paramedic/EMT knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year documented teaching experience (40 hours/year) in a paramedic course.
• Must be currently certified NREMT Paramedic and licensed as a Georgia Paramedic.
• Level III EMS Instructor License is required.
• Two years of work as paramedic and/or teaching in the last 3 years.
• BLS Instructor certification (AHA or Red Cross) is required.
• ACLS/PALS and PHTLS/AMLS instructor certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Strong oral and written communication and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email).
• Familiarity with online learning platforms (Blackboard).

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic and clinical paramedic courses at Savannah and Hinesville campuses.
• Supervise students during patient care and clinical rotations.
• Travel between campus locations as required.
• Prepare lectures, evaluate students, and maintain grade books.
• Advise students and assist with registration and course enrollment.
• Ensure safety and proper use of supplies and equipment in training areas.
