Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year teaching experience with 40 hours of instruction per year in an AEMT course.
• Must be currently certified/licensed as described in qualifications.
• Two years’ work experience within the last 3 years as an AEMT/Paramedic and/or teaching.
• Proficient in online learning tools (Blackboard, etc.) and safety procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teaching techniques, grading procedures, and record-keeping.
• Demonstrate current EMT/AEMT procedures and effective communication.
• Follow approved course syllabus.
• Monitor supplies and equipment for safety and security in the training area.
• Attend required meetings and stay updated on field trends.
• Maintain qualifications per policy manual.
• Adhere to college policies and accreditation requirements.
• Teach didactic and clinical courses as assigned and support accreditation tasks.
