Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an additive manufacturing engineer to support metal AM workflows across launch vehicle programs. You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to develop build strategies, evaluate parts, and ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight components.

You will use Pro/E/Creo, Materialise Magics, and 3D printing software to prepare parts, document risk analyses, and optimize processes while meeting tight production schedules. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal additive manufacturing preferred.
• 1-3 years of hands-on AM build experience.
• Knowledge of CAD data viewing and interrogation.
• Experience in an R&D environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare part build files using CAD software (Pro/E or Creo, Materialise Magics, 3matic).
• Evaluate the build risk and devise build strategies.
• Document build risk analyses to RE’s and AE’s and adjust geometry as needed.
• Follow standardized file systems and ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Design support structures considering heat, warp, surface finish, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and document findings in the AM Wiki.
