Job summary

Blue Origin Huntsville is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician to set up, operate, monitor, and perform build‑to‑build changeovers on AM equipment, and assist with preventive maintenance of spaceflight hardware. You will monitor laser melt pools, material use, and log data while ensuring safety and quality on every part.

In this hands‑on role, you will interface with programmers, schedulers, machinists, and technicians, with opportunities to travel to other Blue Origin sites for

Qualifications

  • 3+ years hands-on Metallic Additive Manufacturing production experience.
  • Associate degree in an applicable technical discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology, Electromechanical, Optics, Lasers, Machining, etc.).
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience in an advanced technology operations environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate AM machinery safely, including PIT equipment and printers.
  • Follow work instructions and document each work order.
  • Log and monitor material consumption and build dates across shifts.
  • Collaborate with programmers, schedulers, machinists, and technicians across centers.
  • Travel to other Blue Origin sites for training assignments (2–3 weeks).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area; adhere to 5S and safety protocols.
