Job summary

Channel Islands YMCA in Ventura, CA is seeking a Programs Instructor to referee, coach, and supervise youth and adult sports programs. You will enforce policies, respond to emergencies, complete incident reporting, and deliver inclusive instruction that welcomes all members and guests while providing excellent customer service.

You will set up and put away equipment, maintain facilities, stay current on certifications, and participate in trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must obtain a criminal record clearance if over 18.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; valid work permit required if a minor.
• Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Referee, coach, and/or supervise various sports programs.
• Enforce YMCA policies and procedures; respond to emergencies.
• Complete incident reporting and maintain safety of facilities.
• Provide inclusive instruction and exceptional customer service.
• Set up and put away equipment; maintain equipment and facilities.
• Attend required trainings and participate in staff teamwork.
