Job summary

ACCEPT Education Collaborative invites applications for a part-time Art Teacher (K-12). The role focuses on direct instruction for students with disabilities, collaborating with special education teams, therapists, and families to deliver an adaptive art curriculum that is engaging and accessible.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in art education, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and a valid MA teaching license in Art. Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Art Teacher or relevant role.
  • Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
  • Valid Massachusetts Teaching license in Art (K-12) and/or education. Additional content area license encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Plans an adaptive art curriculum meeting individual needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Creates a conducive classroom environment aligned with curriculum goals.
  • Communicates objectives clearly for each lesson, unit, and project.
  • Assesses student progress and provides regular reports.
  • Collaborates with colleagues, students, and families regularly.
  • Supervises teacher assistants/volunteers and maintains classroom order.
