Able ARTS Work seeks a passionate Community Engagement/Program Instructor to deliver accessible arts education across workshops, mobile art programs, and day services. The role emphasizes person-centered curricula, adaptive teaching for diverse abilities, and collaboration with therapists, families, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in art, education, or related field.
• Experience in at least one creative discipline (visual art, music, dance, drama, or movement).
• Ability to adapt instruction for varied cognitive/physical needs.
• Strong interpersonal, organization, and documentation skills.
• Driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide accessible, person-centered arts instruction across workshops, MAP, and day programs.
• Adapt curricula to participant needs and goals, supporting independence and social growth.
• Collaborate with managers, therapists, caregivers, and partners as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain lesson plans, attendance, progress notes, and documentation per policy.
• Assist with safety, material preparation, and travel between program sites.
