Edu-Aids is seeking a motivated Adapted PE Instructor to support students with diverse needs in Canal Winchester, OH. This part-time role focuses on adapting physical education activities to ensure accessibility and participation for all learners.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a valid Ohio teaching license, with experience in inclusive education and collaboration with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Valid Ohio teaching license or certification preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities in educational/therapeutic settings preferred.
• Knowledge of adaptive physical education principles and inclusive teaching practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Commitment to meeting the unique needs of all learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement adapted physical education lessons for individual needs.
• Modify activities and equipment to ensure accessibility and participation.
• Provide direct instruction in various settings (individual, small-group, classroom).
• Support students in achieving PE and IEP-related goals when applicable.
• Assess progress and monitor throughout the school year.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote success.
• Maintain records, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive PE environment.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.

Education
