Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Workplace Accommodation Case Manager to oversee ADA accommodations, including evaluating leave as an accommodation and job placement for associates unable to return due to illness or injury. The role provides expert consultation on ADA, Leave of Absence and FMLA cases to internal and external counsel.

The position emphasizes interactive process, collaboration with Talent Acquisition, HR, and health clinics, and ensuring accommodation effectiveness for associates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, rehabilitation, or related field.
• 7 years of experience managing ADA reasonable accommodation and interactive process.
• Strong communication skills with knowledge of medical terminology, claim management, and ADA/FMLA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of associates requesting at-work accommodations including intermittent leave as an accommodation and following the Interactive Process to determine feasibility.
• Provide job placement assistance to associates with disabilities who cannot perform essential functions.
• Provide documentation and testimony for ADA, FEHA or FMLA matters and collaborate with outside counsel as needed.
• Support adherence to Disabilities and Reasonable Accommodation Policy and coordinate with managers, HR, health clinics, and leaders.
