Job summary
Banner Health in Mesa, AZ seeks a Pharmacy Billing Technician to support inpatient and outpatient medication charge billing and reconciliation. Responsibilities include reviewing patient records, auditing charges, and ensuring timely submission using the CDM.
You will provide clerical support and may cover Acute Pharmacy Technician duties as needed. The role requires a licensed and/or certified Pharmacy Technician, with emphasis on accuracy, customer service, and multi-tasking in a hospital
Qualifications
- Requires Pharmacy Technician license and active certification or Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
- Two years pharmacy technician experience with automated technology systems preferred.
- Strong math, detail orientation and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Billing and reconciliation of patient charges for medications and IV solutions (inpatient and outpatient).
- Review charts to correct billing issues and ensure timely processing.
- Audit and correct charges using the CDM and billing systems.
- Provide clerical support: scheduling, filing, coordination, and meetings.
- Assist with administrative duties and coverage as needed.
- Potentially assume Acute Pharmacy Technician duties as required.
