Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Pharmacy Billing Technician in Mesa, AZ. This role supports billing and reconciliation for inpatient and outpatient medications, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Responsibilities include reviewing patient accounts, auditing charges, maintaining records, and providing scheduling and administrative support.

The position runs Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sign-on incentive up to $2,500 and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• Arizona Board Wallet Card at time of hire is required in AZ.
• Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience in related to pharmacy distribution.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations.
• Strong customer service focus, exceptional communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assist with charge audits and maintain billing records.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the department (scheduling, filing, coordination).
• Assist with department activities including meetings and interviews coordination.
• Perform duties of Acute Pharmacy Technician when needed (medications charging/crediting, restocking, IV preparation).
• Interact with hospital departments and pharmacy staff to resolve billing questions.
