Job summary

Banner Health’s Specialty Pharmacy team in Phoenix, AZ is looking for a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and patient services focused on specialty meds and disease states. You’ll assist with data entry, billing, and prior authorizations, working closely with pharmacists to maintain URAC accreditation.

The position requires state licensure or intern licensure, at least one year of experience, strong math and customer service skills, and a 40-hour, day-shift schedule from 8:30

Qualifications

• Requires active Pharmacy Technician licensure or intern licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy tech experience and strong customer service focus.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult calculations with a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Enroll patients in specialty pharmacy services and input data into software platform.
• Interact with patients by phone in a call center setting to address financial barriers.
• Provide adherence management and improvement services to patients.
• Maintain records for accreditation, licensure, contracts and REMS programs.
• Support scope expansion and quality improvement across services.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and Fulfillment Center to ensure positive patient experience.
• Prepare, dispense, and compound medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Follow policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
