Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Services CAP track. This role provides coordinated, clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, with potential delegation to Patient Care Technicians and nursing staff as needed.

As a member of the kidney disease health care team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities while completing CAP requirements to advance within the program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Minimum 9 months experience as an RN; 6 months acute dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in medical records.
• Educates patients and families about care needs.
• Directs safe patient care for assigned patients during dialysis procedures.
• Coordinates communication with dialysis providers and facility staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Notifies physicians of patient status changes and adverse reactions.
