Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the acute care rehabilitation department on a part-time basis. You will assess patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders and develop individualized plans of care with ongoing monitoring.

The role requires CCC/ASHA certification, acute care experience, and the ability to work at least two weekend days per month. Onboarding includes orientation, EPIC EMR training, and safety courses.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care setting required; 1 year preferred.
• CCC and ASHA certification required.
• Ability to work at least 2 weekend days per month.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred but not required.
• Orientation and onboarding will require weekday availability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement a written plan of care; monitor outcomes.
• Discharge planning and home program instruction for patients.
• Document per policy; coordinate with physicians and team.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control.
