Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital – Acute Care Rehabilitation in Park Ridge, IL seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (Full-time, 40 hrs/week). You will interpret referrals, evaluate patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders, and develop written plans of care.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment, monitoring outcomes, discharge planning, documenting per policy, and collaborating with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited school.
• Active Speech Language Pathologist license in IL or eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No experience required.
• Strong knowledge of evaluation and treatment for speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and conducts speech and language evaluations.
• Establishes a written plan of care and implements treatment.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts plans as needed; communicates with physicians.
• Completes discharge planning including home programs and family instruction.
• Maintains documentation per department policy and accreditation standards.
