Job summary

STHS Behavioral is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to oversee patient care in an acute setting. You will provide leadership, perform assessments, plan and guide nursing care, and evaluate outcomes in alignment with facility policies and philosophy.

You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate with hospital teams, and participate in weekend, holiday, evenings, or on-call shifts as needed, while upholding service excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or compact state; BSN preferred.
• Associate/Bachelor/Diploma in nursing required; new grads may provide program documentation.
• Must have and maintain BLS certification; maintain ARC/AHA certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or procedures; provide professional nurse leadership.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies and philosophy.
• Oversee and support nursing staff; coordinate with hospital staff and other departments; may work weekends/holidays/evenings/on-call.

Education

Registered Nurse license (TX or compact state)

BSN preferred

BLS certification

ARC/AHA healthcare provider certifications (BCLS/CPR, CPI)
