South Texas Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage care for patients with medical conditions or undergoing procedures. The RN leads nursing care, ensuring safety and adherence to facility policies while supporting the healthcare team.

The role involves overseeing nursing staff under supervision, coordinating with other departments, and meeting unit-specific certification requirements. Weekend/evening/on-call work may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in Texas or a compact state.
• Must possess and maintain BLS.
• Current certifications (ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC/T-CAR) as required by unit and kept current.
• New graduates with a permit may provide documentation of nursing program completion.

Responsabilités

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or procedures; provide professional nursing leadership.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care per facility policies and standards; support the healthcare team.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under supervision; collaborate with hospital staff and departments.
• Occasionally work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call as needed.

Formation

Registered Nurse license in Texas or compact state

Associate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree or Diploma in Nursing

BSN preferred

BLS certification

ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC certifications as unit requires
