Job summary

UHS seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse in Texas to lead nursing care for patients under medical or surgical care. The nurse will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate care with a patient-centered approach, providing professional leadership to the health care team in a policy-driven environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with hospital staff and other departments, ensuring timely, safe care. Overtime nights, weekends, and on-call shifts may be required to maintain high-quality service.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the State of Texas or compact state license, or temporary Texas license while awaiting permanent licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS certification.
• Must have and maintain current ARC/AHA certifications (ACLS, CPR/BCLS) as applicable, and maintain them.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or procedures and provide nursing leadership.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care aligned with facility policies and patient-centered care.
• Oversee nursing staff under supervision and coordinate with hospital/ancillary departments.
• Demonstrate service excellence and comply with compliance programs; may work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call as needed.
