Job summary

UHS in Texas seeks a Registered Nurse to oversee patient care in an acute care setting and provide professional leadership to the nursing team. The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care following facility policies and patient-centered care philosophy.

Texas RN licensure (or compact), BLS, and current ARC/AHA certifications are required; BSN is preferred. 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time acute care experience is recommended.

Qualifications

• Acute care experience supported by hospital setting.
• Commitment to compliance and code of conduct.
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state with BLS.
• BSN preferred; ADN/ diploma acceptable with experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership to the nursing team.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate patient care per facility policies and standards.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and ancillary departments for patient care and issue resolution.
• May require weekend/holiday/evening/night/on-call work as needed.
