Job summary

UHS in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgeries. You will provide professional nursing leadership, assess, plan, and evaluate care in line with facility policies and the patient-centered care philosophy.

Responsibilities include guiding the healthcare team, coordinating with staff and other departments, and ensuring safe, competent care. Occasional weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call may be required to maintain

Qualifications

• Must hold valid RN license in Texas or compact state.
• BSN preferred; ADN or diploma acceptable with licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within specified timelines.
• New graduates with permit may practice while waiting for permanent license.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures as RN leader.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care according to policies and standards.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversee nursing staff and coordinate with hospital departments; participate in weekend/holiday/on-call shifts as needed.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Current Texas RN license (or compact state)

New graduates with permit to practice in Texas acceptable temporarily
