Job summary

Providence Covenant Children's Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and departments. Responsibilities include processing oral and IV medications, triaging orders, and maintaining ADS integrity.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License, and 1 year of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with PTCB

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License required at time of hire.
1 year of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with >2080 hours and current PTCB certification OR 2 years hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

Responsibilities

Fill/dispense unit dose, stock medications, and dispense to nursing units and ancillary departments.
Triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
Ensure accurate and prompt dispensing of oral and IV medications.
