Job summary

Providence Covenant Health system is seeking an Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III to assist in filling and dispensing unit dose and IV medications, triaging orders, and ensuring ADS accuracy in a busy hospital setting. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee and Texas Registered Technician licenses, plus 2+ years hospital pharmacy experience or PTCB certification.

ADMs and EHR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee license required at hire.
• Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License required at hire.
• Minimum of 2 years (4160+ hours) of pharmacy practice with PTCB certification OR 3 years (6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if no PTCB.
• Experience with ADMs and EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications.
• Fill/dispense oral and IV meds and triage patient orders.
• Maintain integrity of the ADS and ensure accuracy in dispensing.
