The Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff by performing delegated patient care tasks and assisting with activities of daily living in an acute care setting.

You will collect vital signs, assist with meals and hygiene, monitor patient safety, and communicate effectively with the care team to maintain a clean, organized, and compassionate environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of acute care experience preferred.
• Enrollment in nursing program preferred.
• Basic patient care knowledge and PPE adherence.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.

Responsabilités

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
• Collects and records patient data including vital signs and intake/output.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, hygiene, and urinary catheter care.
• Assists with positioning and mobility using walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.
• Performs urine/stool collection and blood glucose monitoring; reports results.
• Communicates patient information to the care team and maintains professionalism.
• Maintains infection control and uses PPE appropriately.
• Participates in performance improvement and risk management activities.
• May provide continuous observation as required.
• Performs other duties and maintains attendance and adherence to policies.
