Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nurses and deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a clinical setting. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, and ensuring a safe, organized environment.

The PCT will communicate effectively with the care team and maintain strict safety and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities include vital signs monitoring, mobility assistance, sample collection, and adherence to infection

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records patient data including vital signs and intake/output.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and elimination assistance.
• Assists with patient positioning, mobility, and use of walkers or wheelchairs.
• Collects urine/stool samples and performs finger-stick glucose monitoring.
• Communicates patient information to the care team and follows PPE protocols.
