Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN seeks an acute care nurse supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing operations, direct staff, and ensure high-quality patient care. You will coordinate with physicians and care teams to achieve safety and efficiency across the unit.

The role requires a BSN or BAN, current RN license in the employment state, and BLS within 1 month. Shift rotations include Day/Eve/Night with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience.
• BSN or BAN from an accredited school or college of nursing; others: BSN/BAN within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day nursing operations, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and guiding staff to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Liaise with nursing staff, physicians, patients and families to optimize outcomes and ensure clear communication.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and accreditation standards; promote patient safety and care quality.
