Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across Orange County campuses. You will take vital signs, assist with hygiene, and help maintain a clean, safe unit environment.

Duties include stocking supplies, operating hospital equipment, and handling routine clerical tasks as assigned. The role requires English fluency, a current BLS certification, and ability to float between Orange and Irvine locations.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (issued by the AHA).
• Approved workplace violence responder training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or enrollment in accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
