Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver medical care within a collaborative team, under physician direction. The role focuses on surgical interventions, care planning, documentation, and coordinating tests and referrals.

Required are a Master’s in Nursing with APN certification or PA credentialing, with certification in BLS and potential ACLS/PALS. The position offers educational benefits and PSLF-eligible benefits, with flexible/PRN shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with an Adult Acute Care NP certification, or graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate health care education for patient, family and other health care providers as needed.
• Coordinate plan of care, discharge and specialty referrals as appropriate to meet age specific needs of the patient.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments and interpret patient medical records.
