Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Trauma Burn ICU and NICU teams. You will provide care for critically injured patients, perform assessments, manage ventilator support, and contribute to care planning. APN or PA-C credentials are required, with weekends/holidays included.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with Adult Acute Care NP certification or PA program completion.
• Current clinician licensure as APN (CRNP) or PA-C with state certification.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient assessments and develop care plans for acute care and emergency cases.
• Document care plans and vital signs in the medical record and coordinate with team.
• Manage ventilator settings and participate in plan of care discussions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support education for patients, families, and staff; contribute to performance improvement.
