Complete Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) for our urgent care team. You will deliver high-quality, same-day care across a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries, with opportunities to practice at the top of your license and collaborate closely with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current unrestricted APRN, FNP, or PA license.
• National board certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform comprehensive urgent care assessments for patients across the lifespan.
• Manage common conditions including respiratory illnesses, infections, GI concerns, musculoskeletal injuries, skin conditions, and minor trauma.
• Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results.
• Perform office-based procedures including suturing, wound care, I&Ds, splinting, foreign body removal, and point-of-care testing.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice.
• Determine when specialty referral or ED escalation is appropriate.
• Educate patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and care team members.
• Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation.
