Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a Mobility Technician to support the Nursing Unit by safely mobilizing patients out of bed for meals and ambulation. The role requires competency with safe patient handling equipment and collaboration with nursing and therapy teams.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior experience as Rehabilitation Technician, Care Partner or CNA preferred, plus Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• Must be 18 years of age to work in a direct care setting.

Responsabilités

• Mobilize patients out of bed daily for all meals using safe handling equipment.
• Operate hospital equipment (wheelchair, stretcher, geriatric chair, beds, lifts) as required.
• Assess portable equipment and monitor patient status for safety.
• Assist nursing to mobilize patients to various surfaces and ambulate 3x daily.
• Communicate patient activity, pain, cognition and needs to nursing staff.
• Attend hospital orientations, meetings, and trainings.
