Job summary

Atrium Health in Alabama is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory testing of specimens in an acute setting across multiple specialties using manual and automated techniques. You will report timely and accurate laboratory results with independent judgment.

Responsibilities include evaluating results, maintaining instruments, quality control, and supporting high-acuity departments in the ED, ICU and OR, while complying with CAP standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports results.
• Performs calibration and maintenance of instruments and quality control.
• Provides technical assistance to Phlebotomists and support staff.
• Supports CAP regulatory requirements in an acute setting.
