Job summary

140 Floyd Healthcare Management, Inc is seeking a Medical Technologist for Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center Lab in Trion. The role is PRN - shifts will vary and requires independent judgment to deliver accurate results in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities include performing tests across specialty areas, ensuring proper calibration and quality control, and supporting critical care departments. Associate's degree and certification eligibility within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Clinical Lab Technician or related field.
• Certification eligibility for ASCP BOC or AMT MLT within 1 year.
• 1–2 years experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing of biological specimens in acute setting across multiple specialty areas.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts procedures to meet turnaround times.
• Performs calibration/maintenance of instruments and quality control.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting standards and proficiency testing.
• Supports transfusion services, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, histology, coagulation and flow cytometry as needed.
