Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center, part of Central Maine Healthcare and Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) for per diem shifts in Lewiston, ME. The role supports patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Qualified candidates will have a State-approved CNA certification, BLS, and preference for phlebotomy/EKG credentials; minimum six months acute care or physician office experience; HS diploma; and

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and monitor patient status as directed by nursing staff.
