Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Surgical Services/Peri-Anesthesia in Lewiston, ME. This full-time daytime role pays a pay scale of $22.00 to $25.75 per hour, with responsibilities including assisting patients with daily activities and maintaining a safe environment under RN supervision.

Preferred candidates hold CNA certification, BLS, phlebotomy and EKG credentials where applicable, plus minimum six months acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
