Job summary

Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital is seeking an RN for the Med Surg Care Unit Adaptable Progressive 7C. This 33-bed acuity-adaptable unit focuses on patient-family centered care, with opportunities to shape unit culture through shared governance.

The RN will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge, collaborating with families and staff to ensure optimal outcomes. Night shift, part-time, 24 hours weekly, with variable days and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• BSN within 5 years for GN or RN with less than 1 year of experience.
• MI Registered Nurse license within 60 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate, discharge).
• Collaborate with patient/family to plan and teach care.
• Document education and learning in health records according to policies.
• Partner with health-care team to ensure quality outcomes and patient-family centered care.
