Job summary

Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital is seeking an RN for a 33-bed acuity adaptable unit staffed by full-time night shift professionals. The nurse will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to shared governance and unit culture development.

The role emphasizes ANA nursing processes, patient-family partnership, and documentation of education and outcomes, with opportunities to advance within the care unit.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years for GN or RN with less than 1 year of experience.
• Graduates from non-accredited schools must have NCLEX licensure and appropriate acute care experience requirements.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required within 60 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire from AHA, Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate, discharge).
• Incorporate patient/family input and goals in planning care.
• Develop patient and family teaching strategies and document education in health records.
