Job summary

Corewell Health’s Progressive Care Unit at Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a Part time Nurse Assistant for night shifts (6:30 p.m. – 7 a.m.). The role supports general surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients, with care guided by a plan of care and nursing supervision.

Responsibilities include patient care, safe transport, documentation in the EMR, and flexible scheduling across 3CN/4CN/5CN units. Required: high school diploma and BLS; preferred: nursing assistant program or certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routines, and hospital policy under RN supervision.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit operations and document care in the EMR.
