Milliman, Inc. invites applicants to 2027 Actuarial Summer Internship in the Minneapolis Health and Life practice.

The role supports health and long-term care insurance projects using data processing and actuarial modeling software, with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week for about 3 months. You will gain experience analyzing health care data, communicating results, reviewing peers, and assisting with research and business development while building actuarial skills in a collaborative

Qualifications

• GPA requirement stated: minimum 3.0; preference 3.5+ and higher.
• Pursuing a degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
• Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, able to convey complex concepts verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems using spreadsheets and databases to clean and analyze data.
• Communicate results to peers and project leaders.
• Review peers' work and prepare project files.
• Assist with research and business development projects.
• Gain experience with health care data using various software applications.
