Job summary

Acturhire is offering an actuarial internship designed to provide practical, hands-on experience and prep you for a full-time opportunity within our company.

You will learn to apply actuarial concepts, gather and analyze data, and present analyses for pricing, reserving, product development, and capital modeling, while engaging in a broad set of duties and developmental opportunities.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior or senior status by end of spring term or enrolled in a relevant graduate program.
• Enrolled in or completed a vocational insurance-related program with some college credits.
• GPA 3.0 or better as of the most recent grading period.
• Able to work full-time during normal business hours this summer.
• Available to begin between mid-May and mid-June.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, analyzes data and presents analysis for pricing, loss reserving, product development, capital modeling, reinsurance or other financial analysis.
• Updates and presents reports for pricing, loss reserving or other areas of the company.
• Performs duties related to the major actuarial functions and prepares presentations.
• Attends meetings and demonstrates learning and professional growth.
• Responds to internal and external inquiries and maintains confidentiality.
