Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. invites you to join our actuarial reserving internship in Chicago.

You’ll work on real pricing projects, gain exposure to senior management, and advance your actuarial exam path while contributing to pricing and reporting deliverables. As a valued intern, you’ll perform pricing support, develop premium projections, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
• Demonstrate progress in understanding basic actuarial principles is required
• CAS preliminary exams in progress; may have 1–2 passed
• Pass/requirement of basic Excel experience and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide Actuarial Pricing support for all lines of business
• Support pricing of new program opportunities
• Develop premium and loss ratio projections
• Complete and distribute monthly pricing reports
• Support Insurance Department rate filings as needed
• Develop new rating tools and support migration to new platforms
