Job summary

CapSpecialty, Inc. is seeking a Summer Intern in Actuarial & Analytics to support pricing and analytics, helping ensure informed decision-making for portfolio profitability. You will work on rating development, data extraction, and ad-hoc analyses while pursuing actuarial educational milestones.

This hybrid internship requires three days in the Hartford, CT or Middleton, WI office, with opportunities for mentorship and hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in actuarial science, risk management, mathematics, statistics, or data science with a 3.0+ GPA.
Actuarial experience in insurance is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and analytical abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

Support development and maintenance of rating capabilities for assigned products/lines.
Assist with data extraction, balancing, and analysis; monitor data quality with IT and other teams.
Perform ad-hoc analytics to support organizational initiatives.
Pursue educational milestones related to actuarial development.
