Job summary

The Mutual Group is seeking an Actuarial Intern to gain hands-on experience with pricing, reserving, and data-driven decision-making. You will work alongside credentialed actuaries on real-world projects across multiple lines of business.

This internship emphasizes learning, mentorship, and exposure to actuarial disciplines, with hybrid or in-office scheduling for those near the home office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a quantitative degree with strong academic performance.
• Completed at least one actuarial exam.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, R or Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing and reserving through data-driven analysis.
• Gather and organize data used in actuarial models.
• Develop, maintain and enhance actuarial reports and tools.
• Communicate findings clearly to teammates and business partners.
• Collaborate with credentialed actuaries on projects.
• Gain exposure to multiple insurance products and actuarial disciplines.
• Assist with special projects to support growth and innovation.
