Job summary

Willis Towers Watson invites interns to join the Actuarial Delivery Group within the North American Retirement team. You will contribute to retirement valuations, reports, and government filings, gaining hands-on experience with pension calculations and data analyses using our tools and training program.

The internship runs June 1, 2027 to August 6, 2027 (10 weeks). Graduates between December 2027 and August 2028 and candidates authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams highly preferred.
• Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills.
• Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Accepting applications from candidates that graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree between December 2027 through August 2028.
• Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship.
• Internship Dates: June 1, 2027 - August 6, 2027 (10-week program). Candidates must be available to start on June 1, 2027, and participate for the full duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Participating and actively engaging in training sessions
• Performing actuarial valuations and preparing valuation reports
• Performing data analysis and reconciliations of pension plan participant data
• Performing pension benefit calculations using established spreadsheets or our proprietary plan administration system
• Preparing government reporting forms and annual employee benefit statements
• Supporting special projects as ad-hoc needs arise
• Working with other colleagues to ensure that each project is completed on time and meets quality standards
• Responding to all requests and communications effectively and efficiently
