Job summary

WTW in the United States offers an actuarial internship within the ADG focused on retirement valuation projects and hands-on learning. You will participate in our robust training program designed for interns and entry-level analysts, working with pension data, government filings, and benefit calculations.

Ideal candidates are current students with quantitative coursework, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and on client teams.

Qualifications

  • Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related, with GPA ≥ 3.0.
  • Current college student (at least sophomore) with heavy quantitative emphasis.
  • No interest in future actuarial exams at this time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, good time management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, ability to interact at all levels.
  • Client delivery orientation and teamwork ability.
  • Ability to work independently and on client teams.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Eligible to graduate Dec 2027 – Jun 2028.
  • Internship Dates: Jun 1, 2027 – Aug 6, 2027 (10 weeks).

Responsibilities

  • Participating in training sessions and learning actuarial work.
  • Performing actuarial valuations and preparing valuation reports.
  • Data analysis and reconciliation of pension plan participant data.
  • Pension benefit calculations using spreadsheets or our plan system.
  • Preparing government reporting forms and annual statements.
  • Supporting ad-hoc special projects as needed.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Responding to requests and communications in a timely manner.
