Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Principal Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support for Actuarial financial data systems and data marts. You will lead cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and support quarterly and year-end audits.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or higher with 8+ years of related experience; 10+ years if no degree. Bonus points for SQL development, medical claims data, Snowflake and AWS experience.

• Experience delivering complex data solutions for actuarial or financial data systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex decision support data solutions, data extracts, reports, data marts, and analysis across the full development life cycle.
• Perform monthly data refreshes, validations, automations, and QA checks to support executive financial reporting.
• Lead maintenance and optimization of Actuarial Systems Data Marts and ensure data auditable for audits.
• Serve as the technical lead for data definitions, file structures, and business rules across applications.
• Coordinate with vendors and interdepartmental teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
